What to Expect- Before each massage treatment, the therapist will review your health history and discuss the massage plan. During the massage, it is helpful for you to communicate how the pressure feels, if an area is tender or sore, or if you are not comfortable. Good communication before, during, and after ensures you get the massage you want.
Sports Massage- uses a variety of techniques from deep to revitalizing designed to enhance athletic performance and recovery by focusing on the muscle groups that you use the most and areas in the body where you typically feel sore. Sports massage is used before , during, and after athletic events and training.
Deep Tissue- uses slow, deep pressure to help work out muscle tension and knots. It is used to treat acute and chronic shortening of the muscle due to trauma, stress, and postural imbalances.
Myofascial Release- is a deep but gentle blend of stretching and massage used to promote healing, relieve pain, and improve posture. The goal of myofascial release is to ease pressure in the fascia, or connective tissue, that encases the muscles throughout the body. Fascia thickens and forms adhesions when there is trauma caused by repetitive motion, injury, or sitting in one position for long periods of time.
Trigger Point Therapy- technique used eliminate myofascial trigger points from bodily tissues. A trigger point is hypersensitive to pressure and also produces a referral pain or sensation elsewhere in the body. Trigger points limit range of motion , often causing altered body mechanics and posture. These points can develop from acute trauma, chronic strain, repetitive stress, and misuse.
Therapeutic Swedish- relieves tension and stress held in the body and mind using lighter, flowing techniques
Hot Stone Massage- uses warmed stones to relax muscles and induce a calming state of mind.
Intake Forms- New clients need to arrive about 10 min early to fill out a health history form; or you can download it and bring it with you to your
